Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Baby Luci! Almost 4 months old, can you believe it? Look at that cute little Munkin face!

Eden giving her talk she gave in Primary at Church, dressed as "Samuel the Lamanite" Chloe playing the part as "Mary"

Here I am, a "Believer" because that's how I roll. I believe. Here I am blessed by the presence of Mary, aka Chloe.

Eden in the dim light of the Christmas tree, acting the part of Samuel. Narration by Muzzy.

Myself and baby Jesus, aka Luci. Rexquando sitting next to me? No just my handsome bearded husband Kent.

Uncle Rob holding the Baby Jesus...we love Uncle Rob!

Hi all!

We are finally getting back into our normal swing of things around here after the Christmas break. for some miraculous reason, Kent was given Christmas Eve and Christmas day off from work! So why not take 12 days off then?! And that is exactly what he did. I loved every minute of it!

We had some family emergency stuff to take care of, but don't worry, everybody is fine! We were able to go back to see family during this time seeing as we don't know when Kent will get Christmas off again so soon.

The posted pictures are of us during the break, mostly during Christmas Eve night when we set aside some special time to really remember what Christmas is all about. It is a fun family tradition to act out Samuel the Lamanite, who was a prophet in the Book of Mormon. He prophesied the birth of Jesus Christ 5 years before Christ's actual birth. Many of the people back during that time didn't believe him and tried to kill him, although there we some that did believe him too. Because of his diligence in doing the will of Heavenly Father he was protected and kept safe! And guess what? Sure enough 5 years later in a little stable in Bethlehem, Christ was born!

This year Eden wanted to be Samuel. And a great Samuel she was! Us others were mainly non believers who got to throw rocks and arrows at her (don't worry, these rocks were crumpled up paper and arrows were weighted straws!) However yours truly was a believer and I played a mighty fine believer at that! Chloe wanted to play Mary and she played the part with her entire soul! She kept her "costume" on the entire evening and I think truly felt the Mary part. Guess what Luci played??? Any takers? You got it...Baby Jesus. I think she captured the part well.

The following morning we went to Church for an hour of Christmas hymns and then returned back to the fort for some fun! Poor Chloe was not feeling well so she went and took a few hour nap. By the time she woke up we were all done opening gifts and she had herself a nice pile of presents to open all to herself!

We had a great time also visiting my mom and dad and Linda and my grandparents. What initially planned to be a quite Christmas turned out to be a wonderful Christmas shared with family on both sides. Not that our quite Christmas wouldn't have been wonderful, it just turned out to be doubly so!!

We hope you all had a great Christmas holiday and that you could truly reflect on this Christmas season and know what it REALLY is all about. Merry Christmas!

Luci's Blessing Day and fun family times!

The girls just love their baby sister Luci

More sisterly love

Quick cousin picture before we headed off to Church

Cute pajamas from Muzzy and Gran Crad from Alaska! Every Christmas the girls get new Christmas jammies and this year was no exception! Plus matching hats...look at Luci's face, haha!

New flashlights from the Muzz and Gran Crad. Flashlights make great toys!

Look at our new flashlights!!!

Eden holding little Luci. Luci getting the hang of hanging out with the big girls, I think she likes it!

Dog pile on Muzzy and Gran Crad! Total fun. I think Luci was very comfortable even through all the commotion!

Family picture after Luci's Blessing. 1.) I love Amber's head in the back ground (no she was not Photoshopped in) and 2.) Luci has had ENOUGH!

Look at our family of 5! Whoa, we're getting bigger! Picture of us before heading off to Church.

Last Sunday was a special day for our family. Little Luci was blessed at Church by her daddy. We had a fun filled weekend of family in town to celebrate her blessing and to celebrate Thanksgiving early, since we'll be spending the actual Thanksgiving day with some of my family over here.
We had fun staying inside and spending time together. The girls loved having cousin time too. The boys were able to go out shooting in the woods and then for some reason their car didn't want to start, so I was able to go rescue them in the forest. It was very eventful.

The girls minus the small girls, were then able to go on another visit to the "Potter's Quarter" and see all the fun Christmas trees decorated for the holiday season. All in all it was a fun time! Plus, who doesn't like having Thanksgiving twice???

La Vita Vera-The True Life!

Have you ever seen this lady before???

She's the Food Nanny! I found her on the BYU channel and let me tell you, her show is now one of my top favorites to watch!

If you've never heard of her, she goes to "rescue" dinner at people's homes. People send in videos showing how they are struggling to get their family to sit down to dinner. She will go to the person's home, find out why they are having a certain problem and then show them how to sit as a family for dinner time. She also will pick a dinner to make and shows how to make it, along with how to plan for a 2 week dinner menu.

I LOVE THE FOOD NANNY!!! We don't have a problem sitting down for dinner as a family, but I would still love for her to come to my home. You must watch a show and see for yourself. Her personality is contagious and she shares great tips, tips that make me want to be a better mother and provide even better meals for my family. I love her.

She has this saying, "La Vita Vera" or "The True Life", which is when you have your family all seated around the dinner table, eating good food, talking with each other and spending quality time together. I try to incorporate that every day when we sit down for dinner. I want my children to have good memories of our family sitting down for meals together and hopefully they can carry that with them into their future families one day.

So go turn your t.v to the BYU channel and record on Wednesday mornings, The Food Nanny. You'll be glad you did!

The new sleeping arrangements

My poor children. We've had to move their room to down stairs and they now sleep here, on one of the shelves. Sort of like that Seinfeld episode where Cramer is tucking those Japanese men into his drawers in his room, sort of.

Little sleeping baby downstairs next to the wood stove. She likes it down there where it's nice and cozy. Look at those cute little round cheeks.

Yes, this is my family

I came across these pictures in my email account that was sent to me by Kent's mom (Muzzy). Sometime during a visit they took these pictures, but luckily Luci and I were able to escape! Although I do wonder what we would have looked like...

Can you guess who these people are???
